Crete Discovery
Sougia is a small village on the Libyan sea, on the south coast of Crete. It is surrounded by the mountain range Lefka Ori. In the village the Agia Irini gorge runs out into the Libyan sea. Sougia lives mainly from tourism and a lesser extent on fisheries and agriculture. The only exit roads runs to the north and continues along Kandanos and Chania. From Sougia there are boats service (Anek Line)to Paleochora, Agia Roumeli, Loutro and Chora Sfakinon.
